Southend Surveyor

Privacy & your enquiry

How Southend Surveyor handles information provided through its quotation and enquiry forms.

Property Surveys Southeast Ltd, trading as Southend Surveyor, handles information you provide to us about your enquiry. Contact hello@southendsurveyor.com with questions about your information.

Information we request

We request your name, email, optional telephone number, property address and details relevant to the proposed survey. You can also provide concerns or access information. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or other people.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to assess the property, prepare or review a quote, communicate with you and, if you proceed, arrange the agreed service. We also keep an audit of quotations and staff actions. Enquiry handling may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract; security and administration also involve our legitimate interests.

Quote reminders

Automatic quote reminders are currently switched off. We still send messages needed to respond to your enquiry and handle a request to proceed. We do not sell enquiry details to lead-generation panels.

Service providers and security

Information is stored in the website database and may be handled by the hosting and email providers needed to operate the service. Cloudflare Turnstile checks submissions for abuse. If you ask to proceed, your contact, property, survey and quoted fee details are also transferred to our Google Forms and Google Sheets booking workflow to arrange the next steps. Access to the lead dashboard is restricted. Technical rate-limit identifiers are hashed and short-lived; they are not used as advertising profiles.

Retention and your rights

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, service, legal responsibilities and dispute handling. The period depends on whether an enquiry becomes an instruction, the records needed to support our professional advice, applicable accounting and insurance requirements, and any ongoing complaint, claim or investigation. We review whether information remains necessary and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed. Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict information, object to processing and complain to the ICO. Contact us to make a request.

Cookies and external links

WordPress uses cookies for signed-in administration, and security checks may use necessary browser storage. These are separate from optional advertising measurement.

If you choose “Accept advertising cookies”, we load Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) to measure website visits and enquiry actions. Microsoft may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information, visited page and advertising identifiers. We do not include the name, email address, phone number, full property address or free-text answers you enter in our enquiry form in our custom tracking events. Our private quote and next-step pages are excluded from this tracking.

Optional advertising tracking is switched off until you accept. You can use the enquiry form with essential cookies only. Use “Cookie preferences” in the footer to change your choice at any time. We remember that choice for up to six months; Microsoft advertising cookies such as _uetsid and _uetvid have their own expiry periods. Microsoft’s Privacy Statement explains its processing. External websites have their own notices.

Let’s start with your property.

A direct enquiry. A clear explanation. Your next step.
